Transparency is important to us: Here you will find all information about payment methods, currencies, fees, taxes and duties in our online shop. Please take a moment to carefully read these payment terms before placing your order.

1. Scope

These payment terms apply to all orders placed via the Yelf online shop. They apply to customers with a delivery address in the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States of America (USA).

 

These payment terms supplement our Terms and Conditions (T&C). In the event of any conflict, these payment terms shall prevail with regard to payment-related provisions.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

The following payment methods are available in the Yelf online shop:

  • PayPal
  • Klarna
  • Shop Pay
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • TWINT
  • Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express

The availability of individual payment methods may vary depending on the country, the device used, and the respective payment provider. Payment processing is carried out via Shopify and connected, certified payment providers.

3. Payment Authorisation and Processing

Payment is authorised upon completion of the checkout process. The actual charge is made immediately or at the latest upon order confirmation. Goods will only be dispatched after successful receipt of payment. Orders with failed or declined payments will not be processed.
4. Currencies, Conversion and Fees

The Yelf online shops use EUR (€) as their base currency. The following provisions apply to the following countries or regions:

 

🇪🇺 EU orders: 

Are charged in EUR (€). 

 

🇬🇧 UK orders: 

Are automatically converted and rounded up to full GBP (£). 

 

🇺🇸 US orders: 

Are automatically converted and rounded up to full USD ($).

 

Currency conversion is carried out at the current exchange rate. The displayed prices include a currency conversion fee of 2%. Additional fees charged by banks or credit card providers (e.g. foreign transaction fees) are beyond our control and are borne by the customer.
5. Prices, Taxes and Duties

🇪🇺 EU orders: 

All prices include the applicable statutory value-added tax (VAT).

 

🇬🇧 UK orders: 

Shipping is currently carried out under the Incoterm DAP (Delivered At Place). Prices do not include import VAT, customs duties, or other import charges. These costs are borne by the customer. Customers are advised to contact their local customs authority in advance to determine when, where, and how such charges must be paid.

 

🇺🇸 US orders: 

Shipping is also carried out under the Incoterm DAP (Delivered At Place). Sales tax may apply depending on applicable state regulations. Any customs duties or import charges are not included in the purchase price. Customers are advised to check with their local customs authority in advance regarding applicable charges.
6. Payment and Shipping Responsibility

Payment terms apply independently of shipping providers or customs authorities. Yelf assumes no liability for additional costs, delays, or fees arising from customs clearance or local authorities. Shipments that are refused or not accepted do not entitle the customer to a refund of shipping, import, or duty-related costs already incurred.
7. Payment Security

Payment processing is carried out in accordance with applicable security standards (PCI-DSS). Sensitive payment data is not stored by Yelf. All transactions are transmitted in encrypted form. Yelf reserves the right to refuse payments in the event of suspected misuse, fraud, or other irregularities.
8. Failed or Declined Payments

Payments may be declined for various reasons, including insufficient funds, incorrect details, or technical restrictions imposed by the payment provider. In the event of a failed payment, no contract is concluded. Customers are requested to place the order again.
9. Refunds and Chargebacks

Once a refund has been approved, the amount will be credited within 2 to 5 business days. Refunds are issued exclusively via the original payment method used. The actual crediting time may vary depending on the payment provider.

 

In the event of a chargeback, we work closely with the respective payment service provider. Any fees incurred may be passed on to you as the customer, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Amendments to the Payment Terms

Yelf reserves the right to amend these payment terms at any time. The version valid at the time the order is placed shall apply.
